Flight operations at Islamabad airport may be affected from May 8 to May 10, according to a NOTAM issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority.
The advisory says both arrivals and departures may face disruptions due to operational reasons.
The Pakistan Airports Authority has instructed flights arriving in Islamabad to carry additional holding fuel. The measure has been advised in case aircraft need to remain in the air longer than usual before landing.
Timings of possible disruption
According to the NOTAM, flight arrivals and departures may be affected on May 8 from 10:45am to 12:15pm. Operations may also be affected on May 9 and May 10 from 8:15pm to 9:15pm.
Passengers travelling through Islamabad airport during these dates may experience delays in flight arrivals or departures. Travellers are advised to check with their airlines for the latest flight status before leaving for the airport.
