Iran’s elite force has pledged to maintain stability in one of the world’s busiest oil routes. The move follows rising tensions after threats linked to US military presence in the region.
The navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it will ensure safe and stable passage through the Strait of Hormuz.
In a statement shared on X, the IRGC said that “aggressor’s threats” had been neutralized and new protocols were now in place.
Thanks to ship captains and operators
The IRGC navy also thanked captains and vessel owners operating in the Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.
According to the statement, cooperation from maritime operators has helped implement the newly introduced regulations for transit through the strategic waterway.
We thank captains & shipowners in Persian Gulf & Gulf of Oman for complying with Iran’s Strait of Hormuz regulations & contributing to regional maritime security. With aggressor's threats neutralized & new protocols in place, safe, stable passage through SOH will be ensured.

Iran recently issued guidelines for what it described as the safe passage of “innocent” ships through the Strait of Hormuz.
The IRGC warned that vessels carrying weapons or ammunition intended for US military forces in the region could be blocked.
The Strait of Hormuz is a critical global energy corridor, with a significant portion of the world’s oil supply passing through it.
Any disruption or heightened military posture in the region often raises concerns about global trade and energy security.
