The Saudi Ministry of Hajj has withdrawn its new policy concerning young children.
The restriction on children under 15 years of age has been lifted, and the previous policy has been restored.
Children above 12 years of age have once again been permitted to perform Hajj. Saudi Arabia has reversed its earlier decision to raise the age limit.
Authorities have directed that previously rejected visa applications be processed again under fresh instructions. The development is of significance for Pakistani pilgrims, as facilities concerning younger children have been reinstated.
Applicants affected by the revised age limit have been advised to resubmit their applications.
