Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that traffic restrictions around the Red Zone in Islamabad ended today.
In a message posted on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Dar said he was grateful to the people of Pakistan, particularly the residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. He expressed heartfelt thanks for the public’s patience and cooperation.

He wrote that public support enabled authorities to ensure the safety of guests and to advance peace efforts. He said the government remains committed to these objectives and seeks the continued prayers and goodwill of the people.
Following peace talks in Islamabad and in view of the United States–Iran negotiations, security arrangements in Rawalpindi have been eased, after which normal life has begun to return.
Metro bus service in Rawalpindi has resumed, while goods transport and entry and exit routes of the city have also been reopened for traffic. The metro bus service to Islamabad and e-buses operating on various routes in Rawalpindi have also been restored for the convenience of passengers.
