Ishaq Dar has held telephone conversations with his Iranian and Australian counterparts to discuss regional developments, ceasefire-related issues, and diplomatic engagement.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Dar spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during which both sides exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and matters related to ongoing ceasefire arrangements.
Dar emphasized the importance of continued dialogue for promoting peace and stability in the region. Both ministers agreed to remain in close contact amid the current circumstances.
In a separate call, Dar also spoke with Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong. During the conversation, the Australian foreign minister appreciated Pakistan’s commitment to advancing diplomacy.
Dar briefed her on the Islamabad Talks held on April 11–12 and reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to continue engagement and diplomatic efforts. Both sides also expressed concern over the impact of global economic conditions, particularly on developing countries.
The discussions underscored Pakistan’s ongoing diplomatic outreach with key international partners amid shifting regional dynamics.
