Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the US Embassy in the Diplomatic Enclave, where he held a key meeting with Chargé d'Affaires (CdA) Natalie Baker amid ongoing regional developments.
During the visit, Naqvi met with the US envoy to discuss matters of mutual interest, particularly focusing on strengthening Pakistan-US relations.
Both sides held detailed discussions on the latest regional situation, especially in the context of ongoing tensions and diplomatic efforts. A major focus of the meeting was the upcoming second round of Islamabad talks, which are seen as crucial for reducing tensions in the region.
Security arrangements reviewed
The minister briefed the US envoy on the comprehensive security arrangements put in place for the talks. He emphasized that special security measures have been ensured for all distinguished guests attending the second round of discussions.
CdA Baker appreciated Pakistan’s sincere efforts in promoting peace and reducing tensions in the region. The acknowledgment highlights Pakistan’s ongoing role as a facilitator in diplomatic engagements.
Concluding the meeting, Naqvi expressed hope for the success of the second round of Islamabad talks. He reiterated that Pakistan is committed to ensuring a secure and conducive environment for meaningful dialogue.
