The district administration in the federal capital has issued an important announcement regarding public and heavy transport.
The Islamabad district administration has declared that heavy and public transport across the city will remain suspended until further notice. Bus terminals at Faizabad, Karachi Company, Pirwadhai and Swan have been closed. Citizens have been requested to cooperate with the security agencies.
Foreign delegations are expected to arrive in Islamabad today for the second round of indirect peace talks between the United States and Iran.
Earlier, in the context of the Iran-US negotiations, authorities in Rawalpindi had decided to close all businesses from midnight until further notice.
Restaurants, parks, beauty parlours and markets will remain closed. Snooker clubs, gyms, pan shops, hair salons, banks and bakeries will also remain shut. Police have begun distributing warning notices across markets, with strict action warned in case of non-compliance.
