The Foreign Office spokesperson said that Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar met senior diplomats from Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, during the meeting, the Pakistan's foreign minister stressed the importance of peace, prosperity and economic development as shared objectives among the countries.
According to the Foreign Office, Türkiye’s Deputy Foreign Minister Musa Kulaklikaya, Egypt’s Assistant Foreign Minister Nazih El Naggari, and Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs Director General Abdullah bin Khalid bin Saud Al-Kabeer Al Saud were present in the meeting.
Ishaq Dar appreciated the exchange of views on important regional and global matters among the four brotherly countries.
He also emphasised the need for a cooperation-based framework between the countries to advance shared goals of peace, prosperity and economic development.
The senior diplomats from the three countries are attending a conference in Islamabad on regional and international affairs.
Separately, Dar received a call from United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today.
The UN Secretary-General appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in convening the Islamabad talks and commended the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister’s efforts in advancing regional peace.
He also expressed the United Nations’ full support for Pakistan’s continued efforts in this regard.
The deputy prime minister and foreign minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting dialogue and diplomacy for peace and stability in the region.
