Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, while speaking to the media at Dahgal Naka, said that whoever played a role in facilitating Iran-US negotiations deserves appreciation.
He called on the Prime Minister, the Field Marshal, and the Chief Justice to recognize that all are citizens of the same country, adding that no matter how many external reconciliations are achieved, real progress will only come when key stakeholders stand united domestically.
According to details, Barrister Gohar stated that the party chairmanship is a trust given to him by PTI founder Imran Khan, and he would step down whenever instructed. He dismissed all rumors circulating against him as baseless and affirmed that he would not back down from his stance.
He expressed hope that a dialogue process with the government could begin within the next one to one-and-a-half months. He added that the authority for negotiations lies with Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai, and remained optimistic that some progress would be made. However, he clarified that, at present, no formal talks are underway between the two sides.
