Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi to discuss the recent Islamabad talks between the United States and Iran, along with broader regional developments.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Chinese foreign minister congratulated Pakistan on its efforts to promote peace and stability in the region and reaffirmed China’s continued support for Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role.
Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to advancing dialogue and diplomacy, stating that negotiations remain the only viable path forward.
The two leaders also discussed the Pakistan-China five-point peace initiative, aimed at facilitating the peaceful resolution of ongoing issues.
Separately, Ishaq Dar met Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong in Islamabad. The ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s role in facilitating US-Iran talks. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and China.
