The Pakistani public has expressed strong support for the government’s efforts to secure a ceasefire.
According to a Gallup survey, 93 per cent of Pakistanis support the government’s ceasefire initiatives, while 80 per cent of citizens remain hopeful for the establishment of peace.
The survey further noted that 82 per cent of respondents are aware of the government’s efforts towards a ceasefire. Some 46 per cent of those surveyed said they are hearing about a significant deal.
Meanwhile, an Ipsos survey stated that global perceptions of Pakistan have turned 71 per cent positive since April 8. Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts are receiving widespread appreciation, and the international community is expressing gratitude for its role in making a ceasefire possible.
