Pakistan has unveiled major facilitation measures for international participants attending Islamabad Talks 2026. The move aims to ensure smooth entry and enhanced convenience for delegates and journalists arriving in the federal capital.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar announced a significant decision to ease travel for participants of Islamabad Talks 2026.
Under the new policy, all attendees, including delegates and journalists, will be granted “visa on arrival” upon reaching Pakistan. Immigration authorities have been directed to issue visas immediately upon arrival, ensuring a seamless entry process for visitors.
As part of the initiative, Ishaq Dar has instructed all airlines to permit visa-free boarding for individuals traveling to Pakistan for the talks.

This step removes a major hurdle for international participants, allowing them to board flights without prior visa approval.
Special visa policy issued
The Ministry of Interior has formally issued a special visa policy specifically for Islamabad Talks 2026. According to the notification, all participants will benefit from the visa-on-arrival facility as part of the government’s efforts to facilitate the high-profile event.
The notification was issued under the signature of Section Officer (Visa) Agha Hasher Mahmood Khan.
To further assist incoming guests, special “facilitation desks” have been established at airports across the country. These desks will guide participants through immigration procedures and provide necessary support upon arrival.
Tight security arrangements
In parallel with these facilitation measures, authorities have implemented strict security arrangements in Islamabad. The enhanced security reflects the importance of Islamabad Talks 2026 and aims to ensure the safety of all attendees.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar extended a warm welcome to all delegates and journalists traveling to Islamabad.
“I welcome all delegates and journalists coming to Islamabad,” he said, highlighting Pakistan’s commitment to hosting a successful and inclusive dialogue.
