French President Emmanuel Macron telephoned Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and congratulated him on efforts to bring Iran and the United States to the negotiating table and on mediation.
According to details, the French president conveyed good wishes for the success of peace talks in Islamabad, while the prime minister expressed gratitude for support for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts.

The prime minister said Pakistan would continue its efforts for peace and stability in the region. Both leaders voiced deep concern over the ongoing aggression against Lebanon.
During the call, the two leaders stressed the need for an immediate end to violence and bloodshed for the restoration of peace in the region, and agreed to remain in contact in view of the regional situation.
