Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have voiced serious concern over ongoing ceasefire violations in Lebanon, urging immediate and full implementation of the truce to ensure lasting peace in the region.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan to discuss the deteriorating situation.
Both leaders expressed deep concern over ceasefire violations in Lebanon and emphasized that full respect and implementation of the agreement is essential for sustainable peace and stability.
They agreed that urgent action is needed to prevent further escalation in the region.

Strong condemnation of Israeli attacks
Pakistan strongly condemned Israeli attacks on Lebanon, highlighting the heavy loss of life and widespread destruction of infrastructure.
According to a statement issued by Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi, these actions are not only a violation of international law but are also undermining ongoing peace efforts.
Islamabad warned that such developments are damaging prospects for long-term regional stability.
In the statement, Pakistan reiterated its complete solidarity with the government and people of Lebanon during what it described as a difficult time. The country also reaffirmed its full support for Lebanon’s independence, territorial sovereignty, and efforts to achieve peace and stability, it added.
Saudi support appreciated
During the call, Dar appreciated Saudi Arabia’s continued support for Pakistan’s efforts to promote lasting peace in the region. Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact and continue coordination on the evolving situation.
The conversation underscored a shared commitment between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to de-escalation and diplomatic solutions. With tensions rising despite a ceasefire, both countries stressed that adherence to agreed terms remains critical to restoring calm.
