Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar in Islamabad, where both sides discussed efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region.
During the meeting, Ishaq Dar underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomacy as key tools for resolving regional issues. He reiterated Pakistan’s firm commitment to peaceful negotiations and constructive engagement with all stakeholders to ensure long-term stability.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, the deputy prime minister emphasized that sustained diplomatic efforts are essential for reducing tensions and fostering cooperation in the region.
Ambassador Jiang Zaidong appreciated Pakistan’s proactive role in promoting peace and acknowledged its consistent support for diplomatic solutions. He also expressed optimism that the ongoing efforts, undertaken in the interest of all parties, would yield positive outcomes.
Both leaders voiced hope that continued engagement and cooperation would contribute to lasting peace and stability across the region.
