Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, during which the latest regional situation came under detailed discussion.
The deputy prime minister expressed concern over rising tensions in the region and stressed the need for immediate de-escalation. Both leaders agreed on the importance of diplomacy and dialogue to ensure peace and stability in the region.
Dar highlighted the five-point initiative of Pakistan and China, stating that the Pak-China formula holds significant importance for peace in the Middle East and the Gulf region.
The Bahraini foreign minister appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts for regional peace and commended its constructive role.
Both countries agreed to enhance cooperation at global forums, including the United Nations Security Council, and reaffirmed their resolve to maintain close coordination in the future.
