A meeting of the Petroleum Prices Monitoring Committee was held under the chairmanship of Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, during which fluctuations in global oil prices were reviewed.
According to details surfaced on Saturday, the committee termed the petroleum stocks in the country as satisfactory. The meeting also reviewed crude oil and refinery operations, along with the supply of petrol, diesel, aviation fuel and liquefied petroleum gas. Measures for fuel conservation and responsible consumption were also considered.
The Ministry of Finance informed the meeting that the supply chain for petrol and diesel in the country continues to operate normally. Government arrangements for maintaining fuel supply remain in place. The government continues to keep a close watch on developments in the global energy market. Petroleum supplies are expected to remain stable in the coming weeks.
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said a digital dashboard is under preparation to monitor petroleum supply. He said the government’s foremost priority is the uninterrupted availability of fuel across the country. The government remains committed to ensuring energy security and market stability.
