Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Wednesday that 641 Afghan Taliban operatives have been killed during Operation Ghazab Lil Haq.
In a post on X, the minister released the latest figures of the operation, which is under way against Fitna al-Khawarij and Afghan Taliban elements. Tarar said 855 Afghan Taliban operatives have been wounded so far, while 243 check posts have been destroyed.
He added that 42 Taliban posts were seized and later destroyed during the course of the operation.
According to the figures released by the minister, 219 tanks, armoured vehicles and artillery pieces belonging to Afghan Taliban fighters were also destroyed.
Tarar said that air strikes targeted 65 militant hideouts inside Afghanistan.
