India advanced to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup after defeating West Indies in a crucial Super Eight match played in Kolkata.
Chasing a target of 196 runs, India successfully reached the total in the final over, eliminating West Indies from the tournament.
Batting first, West Indies scored 195 for 4. Roston Chase made 40 runs, Jason Holder scored 37, and Rovman Powell added 34. For India, Sanju Samson was the top scorer with 97 runs.
The semi-final lineup for the tournament is now complete. The first semi-final will be played between South Africa national cricket team and New Zealand national cricket team on March 4, while the second semi-final between England cricket team and India is scheduled for March 5.
