Three people were killed in Iranian attacks in the United Arab Emirates, including one citizen each from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal. A total of 58 people sustained minor injuries, including Emirati nationals and residents from other countries.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Defense said its forces had responded to 165 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 541 Iranian drones.
According to the ministry, 311 drones were neutralized, while 21 reached civilian areas. Eight missiles fell into the sea, and two cruise missiles were intercepted and destroyed.
Meanwhile, UAE Minister of State Reem Al Hashimy described the Iranian attacks as illegal and unjustified. She stated that the UAE is prepared to defend itself but hopes escalation can be avoided.
In an interview with CNN, she warned that if missile attacks continue, the UAE would not remain passive, adding that the next steps depend on Iran’s decisions regarding its regional conduct.
