Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 Pro series has reportedly entered the test production phase, according to a new leak.
The development suggests the tech giant is moving closer to mass manufacturing ahead of its anticipated September unveiling.
According to tipster Fixed Focus Digital on Weibo, the Apple Inc. has started production validation runs for the iPhone 18 Pro models.
This phase involves testing devices on actual assembly lines using official production tools. The goal is to identify and resolve any potential manufacturing issues before full-scale production begins.
Apple is widely expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September this year.
Reports also suggest that the long-rumored iPhone Fold could debut alongside the Pro lineup, marking a significant expansion of Apple’s smartphone portfolio.
No major design changes?
The tipster claims there are no major changes in materials or design specifications for the iPhone 18 Pro series.
If accurate, this means the new lineup may not look significantly different from the iPhone 17 Pro series.
Recent rumors indicate that the only noticeable design tweak could be a smaller Dynamic Island, while the overall aesthetic and build materials are expected to remain largely unchanged.
