Security forces killed 14 terrorists in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Naal area of Basima district, Balochistan, while thwarting a planned attack on a police station and banks, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
During the intense exchange of fire, Lance Havildar Muhammad Abbas embraced martyrdom after fighting bravely on the frontline.
According to ISPR, the operation was launched on June 8, 2026, after intelligence reports confirmed the presence of terrorists linked to an Indian-sponsored network in the area.
The militants, described as part of “Fitna al Hindustan,” were reportedly planning coordinated attacks on a nearby police station and financial institutions.
Security forces swiftly responded and engaged the terrorists, effectively containing their movement and launching a targeted operation.
14 terrorists eliminated
ISPR said the operation resulted in the killing of 14 terrorists, while several others were injured during the exchange of fire.
In addition, four vehicles used by the militants were destroyed on the spot, along with improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
The military’s media wing described the operation as a decisive success in preventing a major terror incident in the region.

During the fierce firefight, Lance Havildar Muhammad Abbas fought courageously and embraced martyrdom.
ISPR paid tribute to his sacrifice, calling him a brave son of the soil who laid down his life in the line of duty.
Ongoing sanitisation operation
ISPR said sanitisation operations are currently underway to clear the area of any remaining militants and ensure full security.
Security forces remain deployed in the region to prevent any further threats.
The military reaffirmed that Pakistan’s counter-terrorism campaign under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam will continue with full force.
ISPR stated that the armed forces and law enforcement agencies remain committed to eliminating foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
