Sri Lanka have set a target of 129 runs for Pakistan in the first T20.
Pakistan won the toss and opted to field, giving the hosts a chance to bat. Sri Lanka managed 128 runs in 19.2 overs before being bowled out. Janith Liyanage led the scoring with 40 runs, while Wanindu Hasaranga made 18, Kusal Mendis scored 14, and Charith Asalanka contributed 18 runs.
For Pakistan, Salman Mirza, Abrar Ahmed, and Mohammad Wasim each took 3 wickets, while Shadab Khan claimed 2 wickets.
Captain Salman Ali Agha expressed confidence in the team, saying, “Our squad is very balanced.”
The Pakistan squad for the match includes Sahibzada Farhan, Saeem Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, and Salman Ali Agha. All-rounders Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan, Salman Mirza, and Abrar Ahmed are also part of the team.
The side is further strengthened by Mohammad Wasim Jr., Usman Khan, and Mohammad Nawaz, rounding out a mix of experienced players and promising young talent for the opening T20 clash.
