The death case of wrestling icon Hulk Hogan has officially been closed by authorities.
The WWE legend, whose real name was Terry Gene Bollea, passed away in July 2025 at the age of 71.
Officials have now confirmed that his death was due to a medical emergency with no criminal involvement.
The Clearwater Police Department stated that the case has been formally closed following a detailed review.
Authorities classified the death as an “attended natural death,” confirming there was no foul play involved.
Officials further noted:
The investigation found no evidence of criminal wrongdoing related to his death.
Cause of death confirmed as natural
According to the official statement, Hulk Hogan’s death resulted from “compelling natural disease.”
Authorities confirmed there were no traumatic injuries or toxicological factors contributing to his passing.
The manner of death has therefore been ruled natural, bringing the long-running investigation to an official close.
Police reports stated that Hogan suffered a medical emergency at his residence in July 2025.
First responders administered CPR upon arrival before he was rushed to Morgan Plant Hospital.
He was pronounced dead at 11:17 a.m., according to officials.
Authorities also confirmed that Hogan’s third wife, Sky Daily, was present at the home when emergency services arrived.
