The gold price in Pakistan saw its fourth consecutive drop on Thursday, following global trends in the yellow metal trade.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by a significant Rs2,400, bringing the new rate to Rs454,562, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs2,058, settling at Rs389,713. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs1,887 to be sold for Rs357,249.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by $24, reaching $4,322 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices also followed the same trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by Rs83 to be sold for Rs7,635, while 10 grams of silver also saw a decline of Rs71 to be sold at Rs6,545.
