Pakistan’s gold market saw a major drop on Tuesday, a day after witnessing a slight hike a day before.
Gold became cheaper across Pakistan as the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs4,000, bringing the new rate to Rs450,862, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs3,429, settling at Rs386,541. The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also declined by Rs3,143 to be sold for Rs354,342.

International gold prices
The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by $40, reaching $4,285 per ounce.
Silver prices in Pakistan
Silver prices, however, did not follow this trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola remained stable at the previous day's rate of Rs6,532, while 10 grams of silver remained unchanged at Rs5,600.
