The federal government on Monday announced a reduction in the price of high-speed diesel while keeping petrol prices unchanged for the next 15 days, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division).
Under the revised prices, the rate of high-speed diesel (HSD) has been reduced by Rs14 per litre. The new price of diesel will be Rs265.65 per litre, down from the previous Rs279.65.
Petrol price in Pakistan remains unchanged
Meanwhile, the price of petrol has been maintained at Rs263.45 per litre, providing no relief or increase for consumers using motor spirit.
The Ministry of Energy said the price revision was made on the recommendations of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). The updated prices will come into effect from 12 midnight tonight.
According to the official press release, the new rates will remain applicable for the next fortnight, starting from December 16, 2025.
