Unknown gunmen opened fire on a police party in Jora, leaving three people injured, including two officers in Gujrat's Jaurah.
According to police, the injured are station clerk Shehzad, Constable Adnan, and a civilian, Ashiq. All three were transferred to the hospital in Kharian in critical condition.
The assailants fled the scene immediately after the shooting. A search operation is currently underway in the area to apprehend them.
Police have registered a case that includes six charges, among them terrorism. Authorities confirmed that those responsible will be arrested and brought to justice.
