Residents of Swat and adjoining areas felt light to moderate earthquake tremors on Sunday morning, prompting brief concern but causing no immediate damage.
The National Seismological Center recorded the quake at a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale.

According to the National Seismological Center, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 50 kilometers beneath the surface. Its epicenter was located in the Hindu Kush mountain range, a region known for frequent seismic activity due to the collision of the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates.
The tremors were felt across Swat and neighboruing districts, including parts of Mingora, Matta, and Bahrain, where residents briefly rushed out of their homes in precaution.
