Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the launch of new international flight routes from Islamabad and Lahore to Muscat, expanding its operations in the Gulf region.
The national carrier said the new routes are part of its strategy to enhance connectivity and increase revenue.
PIA expands operations to Muscat
According to a PIA spokesperson, the airline will begin direct flights from Lahore to Muscat on October 29, followed by Islamabad to Muscat flights from October 30. These new routes will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, offering passengers a comfortable and reliable travel experience.
The initiative is expected to strengthen air travel links between Pakistan and Oman, serving both business and leisure travelers as well as the Pakistani expatriate community living in Muscat.
Strategic move to boost revenue
The PIA spokesperson noted that the new Muscat routes will play a key role in boosting the airline’s revenue. The expansion comes as part of PIA’s broader plan to revitalize its international operations by tapping into high-demand destinations across the Middle East.
