Security could not be provided to Aimal Wali Khan, and the instructions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur remained unimplemented.
Personnel of the KP police assigned to him were also withdrawn. The KP Inspector General ordered the recalled police officials to report to the line. CM Gandapur had earlier directed that security be arranged for the Awami National Party chief.
The ANP spokesperson responded, saying that despite the chief minister’s assurance, police personnel were called back. He added that the party at least appreciated the clarification of his position.
Security provided at the federal level had already been withdrawn. Now, protection from the provincial police has also ended.
