Islamabad International Airport ranked first among major airports, while Multan International Airport topped the list of regional hubs in the latest Pakistan Airports Authority audit.
The ranking assessed airports on the basis of facilities and services provided to passengers.
In the 2024 audit, Islamabad International Airport surpassed Karachi and Lahore. Multan International Airport stood ahead of regional hubs including Peshawar, Faisalabad and Quetta.
The audit highlighted the operational performance of Islamabad and Multan airports, and the respective managers received letters of appreciation for their services.
