The price of gold saw a decline in Pakistan and globally after reaching the highest ever rate in history.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola decreased by Rs2,000 on Thursday to reach Rs396,800. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs1,714, taking it to Rs340,192.

The global gold market also witnessed a change, with the price of gold per ounce dropping by $20 to reach $3,750.
The silver prices in Pakistan, however, saw an opposite trend, with the price of a tola of 24-karat silver increasing by Rs26 to reach Rs4,663, and 10g of 24-karat silver being sold for Rs3,997.
