A day after maintaining its record high, the price of gold set a new record in Pakistan and globally.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs1,200 on Friday to reach Rs377,900. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold hiked by Rs1,029, taking it to Rs323,988.

The global gold market also witnessed a change, with the price of gold per ounce climbing by $12 to reach $3,552.
The silver prices in Pakistan, however, saw no change for the second consecutive day, with the price of a tola of 24-karat silver remaining Rs4,315, and the price for 10 grams of silver Rs3,699.
