Pakistan Railways has suspended three passenger trains due to a sharp decline in ridership, with officials confirming that the cancellations will affect routes connecting Karachi with Quetta, Peshawar, and Lahore.
Several other trains are also facing delays, causing inconvenience to passengers.
Trains suspended due to low ridership
Railway officials announced that the Karachi–Quetta Bolan Mail and Karachi–Peshawar Khushal Khan Khattak Express will remain cancelled today.
Meanwhile, the Karachi–Lahore Shah Hussain Express has also been suspended, with the suspension set to last until September 6.
According to officials, passengers affected by these suspensions will be adjusted on other available trains to minimize disruptions.
Delays in departures from Karachi
Alongside the cancellations, several Karachi-based departures are facing delays:

Karachi–Sialkot Allama Iqbal Express will depart at 4:30pm, delayed by one hour.

Karachi–Rawalpindi Pakistan Express will depart at 3:30pm, delayed by 1.5 hours.

Karachi–Lala Musa Millat Express will depart at 6pm, delayed by one hour.
Officials did not provide a specific reason for the delays but assured passengers that schedules are being adjusted to accommodate affected travellers.
