Rain is expected in Lahore and most districts of Punjab over the next 24 hours, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). The recent rainfall across various areas has brought relief and pleasant weather conditions.
The PDMA spokesperson stated that a low-level flood has been recorded at Marala on the Chenab River, while similar low-level flooding is being observed at Tarbela, Kalabagh, Chashma, and Taunsa along the Indus River. Water flow in the Jhelum, Ravi, and Sutlej rivers remains normal.
The authority also confirmed that the water levels in streams and tributaries connected to major rivers are at a normal level. Tarbela Dam is currently 88 percent full, while Mangla Dam has reached 58 percent capacity.
In the past 24 hours, rain was recorded in Layyah, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Narowal, Bhakkar, Kasur, and Sialkot, leading to a drop in temperatures and pleasant weather.
