Former federal minister Hammad Azhar has refused to surrender to police in connection with the 9 May cases and has decided to approach the Peshawar High Court (PHC) to seek protective bail in more than 50 cases.
According to details, Azhar has formulated a legal strategy after consulting his legal team. Sources divulged that over 50 cases have been registered against him in Lahore, Faisalabad and Islamabad. He is likely to appear before the PHC to seek protective bail in all the cases.
Upon obtaining protective bail, Azhar would approach the relevant courts for regular bail. His legal team has compiled records of all cases registered against him. Azhar is reportedly wanted by the police and has been declared an absconder in several of the 9 May cases.

Few days back, the PTI had decided to field Hammad Azhar for the forthcoming by-election scheduled to happen in NA-129.
According to details surfaced on Saturday, the ticket will be awarded to any of Hammad's family members if the former federal minister faces any legal complexities in this regard.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has also considering to field any of the bigwigs in the upcoming by-election in the constituency.
Both the parties will make the final announcement after the schedule, which the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is slated to announce.
