In an unusual yet officially reported case, naswar (snuff) worth Rs300 has been stolen from a local resident in Rawalpindi’s Dhok Banaras area.
The incident led to a formal first information report (FIR) being registered at the Race Course police station.
According to police officials, the victim contacted emergency helpline 15 and reported that 10 packets of naswar, collectively valued at Rs300, had been stolen from his possession.
Responding to the citizen’s call, police officers reached the scene promptly and initiated legal proceedings. A case has been registered under theft charges, and an investigation is underway to trace and arrest the perpetrator.
Officials confirmed that a search for the suspect is ongoing and expressed confidence that the thief would be apprehended soon.
