Former journalist and philanthropist Lauren Sánchez shared the first official photo with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos after the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony held in Venice, Italy.
The wedding, which took place on June 27 on the picturesque island of San Giorgio Maggiore, marks a significant milestone in the couple’s six-year relationship, which began in 2019 and was made public that same year.
Shortly after the ceremony, Sánchez took to Instagram to reveal the image, captioning the post simply “06/27/2025” with a heart emoji. The post also marked a symbolic change, as Sánchez updated her name and username on the platform to “Lauren Sánchez Bezos.”
In the photo, Sánchez is seen standing beside Bezos, wearing an intricately designed lace wedding gown with sheer sleeves, a fitted mermaid silhouette, and 180 silk chiffon-covered priest buttons adorning the front. Bezos, the world’s third-richest man, appeared smiling alongside her in a dark formal suit, as the couple posed amidst lush greenery in a garden-themed setting.

Additional solo images of Sánchez in her bridal attire were shared in a follow-up post, offering fans a closer look at the custom-designed gown.
The couple’s high-profile union comes two years after their engagement was confirmed in May 2023. The wedding was reported to be a star-studded affair, though the guest list and ceremony details remain largely private.
The marriage marks a new chapter for both. Bezos, who stepped down as Amazon CEO in 2021, has since focused on ventures including Blue Origin and philanthropic initiatives, while Sánchez has taken on increasing roles in both media and space-related projects, often collaborating with Bezos.
Their wedding in Venice, one of Europe’s most romantic cities, adds another luxurious highlight to their relationship, which has frequently attracted public and media attention.
