Light earthquake tremors were felt in and around Balochistan's coastal city of Pasni on Saturday, prompting brief panic among residents, according to the National Seismological Centre.
The earthquake measured 4.9 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 14 kilometres. Its epicentre was located 40 kilometres southwest of Pasni, in Balochistan’s Makran coastal region.
While the tremors caused alarm among locals, no immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received.

Earlier on Saturday, mild earthquake tremors were once again felt in parts of Karachi.
According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake struck at 9:54am and measured 3.2 on the Richter scale. The epicentre was recorded north of Malir, at a depth of 35 kilometres.
Tremors were particularly felt in the neighbourhoods of Quaidabad, Shah Faisal Colony, and around Gulzar Hijri and University Road. Residents in these areas reported brief shaking, though many said it lasted only a few seconds.
