The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday issued show-cause notice to Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman for violating the code of conduct in the by-elections.
According to details, Rehman had been summoned to the electoral watchdog’s office for violating the code of conduct. The district monitoring officer had issued the notification in this regard.
The ECP had summoned Rehman at its office at 3:00 pm to submit his response.
“Staging the public gatherings and large events in Gulberg Town have been banned,” the notification stated.
