Breast cancer survivor Mrs. Naheed Satti praised the setup and care at CMH Rawalpindi, emphasizing the excellent support from her doctors.
Mrs. Satti urged educators and school principals to organize seminars to raise awareness among young girls about breast cancer. Fellow survivor Mrs Shazia Sultana shared, "I will encourage my sisters to conduct regular check-ups and consult a doctor immediately if they notice any changes in their bodies. While breast cancer sounds daunting, it can be fully treated."
Major General Tahir Masood, Director General of Surgery, warned that the incidence of breast cancer in Pakistan is rising, with one in nine women affected. He stressed the importance of early diagnosis, advising women over 40 to undergo regular mammograms.
