Religious scholars have expressed their support for constitutional reforms aimed at improving Pakistan’s judicial system.
Chairman of Buzm-e-Khutaba Pakistan, Maulana Tayyab Jami, stressed the need for a robust legal framework, stating, "A peaceful and prosperous Pakistan will only be possible with a just legal system.
The government must focus on improving justice, and we, the scholars, fully support constitutional reforms that work towards this goal."
Similarly, Mufti Masood Zafar, the head of Jamia Islamia Faisalabad, praised the reforms, noting, "All religious leaders consider these constitutional amendments a positive step.
These reforms will remove the hurdles to justice that existed in Pakistan, bringing much-needed justice to the common man."
In Bahawalnagar, a peaceful protest and rally in favour of constitutional amendments were held outside the press club. Participants declared that the reforms represent the rights of the poor, and emphasized the critical need for a fair judicial system to ensure Pakistan’s progress and security.
Protesters welcomed the reforms, calling them a ray of hope for the underprivileged. They chanted slogans in favour of constitutional changes and committed to a united effort for a just legal system. Many highlighted that a fair judiciary is essential for the nation’s development and stability.
