Quetta's Nori Naseer Khan Cultural Complex bustled with activity on September 23 as the city commemorated Pashto Culture Day 2024. The event, aimed at showcasing Pashtun traditions and heritage, drew over 2,000 attendees, including students and members of the public.
Abdullah Achakzai and Amanullah Nisar hosted a series of seminars and cultural programs throughout the day. Visitors explored stalls featuring traditional attire, jewelry, and cuisine, providing a comprehensive glimpse into Pashtun culture.
Notable figures graced the occasion, with Nawabzada Zarin Magsi, Parliamentary Secretary for Culture and Tourism, and Noor Muhammad Jogezai, Secretary of Culture, attending as chief guests.
The celebration featured musical performances by renowned artists such as Ijaz Afaq, Zeenat Jahan, and Noorak Shoki, captivating the audience. Comedic acts by Habib Paneezai and his team, along with Rozi Khan, added levity to the proceedings.
Young attendees participated enthusiastically, performing traditional dances to the beat of drums. The organizers emphasized that the event serves to preserve and promote understanding of Pashtun customs and way of life.
