The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said on Thursday that it will not contest the elections to the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly.

The PTI stated that it will boycott the electoral process in the prevailing situation in the region, adding that it stands with the people of AJK.

Moreover, the PTI maintained that it will not take part in the electoral process under the current circumstances in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The statement said that the decision as one of solidarity with the aspirations and democratic rights of the Kashmiri people, rather than a political strategy.
