Ali Muhammad Khan, a member of the National Assembly representing the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC), firmly stated that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government will not permit any operations without the consent of the province's residents.
Speaking to media on Tuesday, he emphasized the importance of parliamentary and public approval. He declared that any action taken must satisfy the Parliament, the people, and the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The PTI leader criticized the approach of assessing KP’s situation from distant cities like Islamabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, and Rawalpindi, highlighting that the social fabric of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been severely impacted by previous operations.
He stressed that the plight of veiled women being displaced from their homes is a significant concern.
Ali Muhammad Khan called for transparency and accountability, demanding that any proposed plans be presented to the National Assembly and, if necessary, discussed in an in-camera meeting.
The PTI leader reiterated that no action will be acceptable unless it aligns with the interests of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the vision of PTI’s founder.
