The Kaghan Highway, a vital artery connecting the scenic Kaghan Valley, remains blocked for over 30 hours following heavy landslides triggered by torrential rains in Ghanol Valley.
Despite relentless efforts by the authorities concerned, the highway remains blocked, leaving tourists and locals stranded on both sides.
The closure came after heavy rocks fell onto the Kaghan highway amidst heavy downpour on Saturday and Sunday night. As a result, the vehicles of locals and tourists were stuck on both sides of the landslide.
Efforts to clear the debris using explosives are ongoing, but progress has been slow due to the sheer volume of rock and debris.
