Security forces conducted a successful intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan, resulting in the elimination of six terrorists, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the operation, a heavy exchange of fire erupted between the security forces and the terrorist group. While one soldier sustained injuries in the firefight, the security forces managed to neutralize all six terrorists.
Following the operation, huge cache of arms, ammunition, and explosive materials were seized. Intelligence reports indicate the eliminated terrorists were involved in various heinous activities, including targeted killings, extortion, and abductions of innocent civilians.
The ISPR statement further highlighted that a clearance operation is currently underway in the area to eliminate any remaining terrorist presence.
Local residents have expressed their appreciation for the security forces' operation and pledged their full cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
