Police on Saturday apprehended five individuals attempting unauthorized entry.
The incident occurred amidst heightened vigilance surrounding the recent election of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
The individuals, considered suspicious by the authorities, were intercepted by the police before they could access the Punjab Assembly building.
Reports indicate that the detained individuals identified themselves as officers affiliated with an agency, according to the police. Following their apprehension, all five individuals were transported to the Civil Line Police Station for further investigation and questioning.
