Pakistan and Turkiye have moved to strengthen cooperation in the fields of economy and investment.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, addressing the Pakistan-Turkiye Business Conference, said that relations between the two countries have long been marked by strong mutual support. He stated that trust between the leadership and peoples of both nations remains a key element of the relationship.
Shifting global order reshapes frameworks for economic cooperation
He said that the changing global landscape is reshaping frameworks of economic cooperation. He added that expanding economic partnerships has become necessary amid current international shifts, with modern diplomacy placing economic priorities at the forefront and seeking to remove barriers to trade and investment.
Dar stated that creating a business-friendly environment remains a priority for Pakistan, with the country welcoming investment in information technology, mining, and energy sectors. He said that the world is witnessing rapid change, new alliances, and growing trade agreements, and called for progress towards a better future for the peoples of Pakistan and Turkiye.

During his visit to Turkiye, the deputy prime minister also held a meeting with the head of the OYAK investment group. Turkish investors expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s economic progress and showed interest in investment opportunities across multiple sectors.

The meeting took place in Istanbul on the sidelines of the Pakistan-Turkiye Business Conference. Dar met Professor OYAK Chief Executive Officer Dr Murat Yalçıntaş where discussions focused on strengthening investment ties, industrial cooperation, and strategic economic partnership between the two countries. Several ministers and Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkiye were also present.
